Think about the places where you'll often use your stroller - grassy parks, sandy beaches or rocky paths? All strollers designed for terrain are designed to handle these types of surfaces.

Baby Jogger Summit X3
The Summit X3 is one of Baby Jogger's most well-known strollers. It is a hybrid stroller/jogger that can be used to walk or jog on any terrain. The large air-filled tires as well as all-wheel suspension provide a smooth ride for you little passenger. Its padded seat reclines nearly flat and is approved by the European Commission for babies*. A vented seat top improves the flow of air when the seat is reclined. This model can also accept most infant car seats using the adaptor that comes with it. It comes with a signature one-hand fold that is extremely quick and easy.
It's on the expensive end of all-terrain running strollers, similar to the BOBs. However, it does have many positive characteristics. The single-action brakes have a reassuring click and are easy to use, even while holding your child in your arms. The hand-operated deceleration brake is also handy, especially if you're running up hills.
Another cool feature is the remote action swivel lock, located on the handlebar. It allows you to quickly change from swivel mode to locked for running without having to bend and touch the front wheel, which can become dirty or dirty. Flip the lever back to swivel after you're finished.
The Baby Jogger Summit X3 features an enormous UV50+ canopy with side air vents, as well as peek-aboo windows. The canopy provides ample coverage to shield your child from sun, and it can be adjusted to meet the changing conditions. It is rated for walking at 6 months and running at 9 months. It can be folded with the handle of the seat. This is quick and easy, even if you are holding your child. It is extremely compact when folded and secured by the Velcro strap at the bottom.
BOB Gear Alternate Pro
The BOB Gear Alterrain Pro jogging stroller is a top-rated item with a superior suspension to ensure a smooth ride for your child. The company's specialized technology, called SmoothShox absorbs the impact of jerks and bumps to reduce the impact to your child as well as your parent. The system is different from competitors such as the Revolution Flex 3.0 which has an amazing adjustable suspension, but it lacks the same technology as the Alterrain Pro.
The massive rear wheel, which measures 16 inches, and the 12-inch front wheel of this jogger are designed to smoothly roll over uneven terrain and provide great maneuverability. The air-filled wheels provide maximum performance and durability while providing a sense of comfort to your baby.
Despite its heavy weight, the Alterrain Pro is easy to maneuver and takes a relatively short amount of time to set up. It also comes with a useful user's manual and no tools are required to put together. The Alterrain Pro travel system is compatible with many infant car seats such as those from Britax, UPPAbaby and Chicco.
Its sunshade scored higher than the rest we evaluated. It covers the knees, offering exceptional protection from harmful UV rays. It also features a padded seat, sling-style design and a reclining back that is easy to operate by pulling down on a single lever with the palm of your hand. The padded legrest extends to the footrest in plastic, adding comfort. The Alterrain Pro has a sleek and modern design and is more polished than other models from the brand. The aluminum frame tubing is strong and has a minimal flex left-to-right. The stitching around the handlebars, basket and canopy is neat and tidy, with no knotted-up fasteners.
BOB Sport Utility
The stroller, which is available in a duallie or single form, is for parents who take their outdoor adventures seriously. It's built for off-road strolling with knobby tires and high-impact polymer wheels that increase the traction. The fixed front wheel offers stability for jogging as well as aids to navigate through difficult terrain. The adjustable suspension is state of the technology and can take on any bumps. It has a handlebar that can be adjusted to suit parents of different heights. It also comes with a large storage basket for all of your equipment.
BOB Sport Utility scored 6 out of 10 which is lower than only the BOB Ironman, our top-rated model. The suspension and large wheels make it more comfortable to run with and its air-filled tire and suspension system better absorb the shock of rough surfaces than the smaller tires on competing joggers (including our other BOB strollers like the Revolution Flex and the Thule Urban Glide 2 which both scored 9).
The Sport Utility is very good in maneuverability, but it is not as easy to turn like some of the other models featured in this review. It is required to tip the handlebar to turn. This is a great option for flat surfaces, but it can be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces like grocery stores or cafes.
The BOB Sport Utility has the same safety features as other joggers, including a five-point harness as well as a hand brake and a foot brake. It also has the capacity to fit the majority of infant car seats using adapters that are sold separately. The brakes were nimble and easy to operate, but we didn't like the fact that you had to step on an unlocked front seat when you are walking or running.
Baby Trend Expedition
This stroller is a great option for families on a budget. It has all the necessary safety specifications, including a 5-point harness as well as a Tether straps, which will ensure your children's safety on outings. The handlebar is ergonomically shaped with a wide grip made of rubber. It's also cushioned with foam to ensure the user with a comfortable experience. best pram for all terrain makes it easy to maneuver through hills and other rough terrain. It also comes with a huge storage bin that can hold two drinks or more, which is handy for long trips.
The Expedition is a jogger that carries infant car seats, making it a good choice for parents with little children. It can attach baby Trend or Graco infant seats to the adapter that comes with it. It also has a lockable swivel wheel on the front that can be unlocked for jogging or locked for easy strolling. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat as well as a large storage basket for storage and footrest reflectors to improve visibility in low light.
The Expedition isn't as effective in some areas as our top-scoring models. It does not come with suspension to help absorb the impact of bumps or uneven terrain, which can make it uncomfortable for kids who are young. The metal wheels aren't as durable as other strollers with a larger tire diameter, so it's not the best option for areas that are frequently rough.
Furthermore, the canopy is rather small, so it's not as a great way to cover or protection from sun. Despite these issues, the Baby Trend Expedition is an ideal choice for parents on a budget seeking an all-terrain stroller. It also comes with other convenient features, such as a tray for parents with cup holders as well as the child's tray that has two cup holders.
Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4
UK brand Out 'n' About has gained a huge following for its collection of jogging buggies. this model is their top running buggy. It's light and easy to steer and has robust 16" wheels that are able to tackle even the toughest terrain. It comes with a fixed wheel that is easy to lock straight while running. But you can also use the lever on the handlebar to let the front wheel rotate when you're walking around or attempting to climb hills.
The suspension is superb especially on rough and bumpy bridleways in the Peak District where we tested it. The handlebar brake was not as responsive to us as we would like and the Nipper Sport V4 cannot be used with an infant car seat or carrier (although it can be used with an infant insert) and can only be used for occasional overnight sleeping.
The instructions are easy to follow and we were in a position to put it together in just 10 minutes. It is necessary to install the hood and seat liner by yourself but we found that was not difficult. It just takes a bit of patience when you are feeding the harness straps into the slits in the padded seat liner. The seat's back is a medium-sized storage pouch but it's not enough to hold a changing bag.
The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 is suitable for use from the time of birth. However, it's advised that you wait until the child is six-months-old before using it for running. This is due to the fact that the harness isn't strong enough to hold newborns, so you'll need to buy a separate carrycot or insert for your newborn.
